[Powers] Willow has the ability to shape-shift from a human body to a canine one, strongly resembling a german shepherd. Her senses of smell and hearing, in human form, are slightly more acute, but still no match for her canine body. She can see in color in both bodies, but even when human, she may still react like a canine, such as growling or whimpering...or chasing cats, rabbits, squirrels... She's not all that great at controlling the transformations at times. She can usually do it at will, but there are times when she's stressed or worried where she can't make the change to canine shape, or times when she's completely startled and the switch is spontaneous. The transformation does not make her completely canine...she can understand English, or any other language she has learned, and respond to it, but she cannot speak back and she retains her human intelligence. The transformation is basically instantaneous, lasting about three seconds. The length of time she stays in canine form does not seem to affect her memory of herself and what she is. She always remembers that in another form, she's got thumbs. Note: She cannot communicate with other dogs.




[Personality] She has the personality of a german shepherd. She is very stand-offish and reserved around strangers, unwilling to make overtures of friendship until the newcomer has been felt out. This can be quite offending to some people, who simply want a smile or a hello in passing. She's also reserved in stressful situations, but will rise to the occasion if pressed hard enough. To the people she does know and is comfortable with, she's friendly and often energetic. With them she loves to participate in all forms of activities, though her favorites are sports, anything that involves running, and if it's chasing a ball, all the better.

She's very loyal to friends and family and even if she doesn't run to protect them immediately, she's by their side until she feels pressed to protect. She's eager and willing to learn, even if she doesn't outwardly show it and truely enjoys schoolwork and training.

[History] Willow's childhood was a fairly idyllic one. Her family lives in the country with several acres of land, half of it wooded, that she grew up playing in. Her favorite games were down by the small creek that meandered through the property. Her family always had the odd outdoor dog that would come up to be fed, but never one that came inside and was actually part of the family. She was a straight-A student in school, slated to be the valedictorian of her class, until the night her kid brother jumped out from behind a corner and startled her. Her brother completely freaked and went running to their parents when she changed. Her mother and father found her cowered in a corner, tail tucked tight against her belly. For two solid hours she stayed in the corner, attempting to bite anyone that came too near, parents included. She hasn't adjusted to her mutation very well, as of yet, since it's still rather new and foreign to her. She'd heard about the school during a brief news report about MAMA, and other mutant activities. Her parents, a little revulsed by her mutation, but somehow still accepting, suggested she attend. She dragged her feet for nearly two months before her parents insisted she go. She finally did, but not quite willingly. It took some persuasion from Emma to get her to finally give in and go. She still writes, emails and has phone calls to and from family, and visits them on holidays.
